PSA (Protection Sports Association)
PSA is a protection sport built around realistic civil-defense scenarios. Scenarios change from trial to trial, so dogs and handlers must be ready for situations they have not rehearsed.
How PSA works
- Obedience: Heeling, recalls and stays performed under distraction from the decoy.
- Protection scenarios: Defense of handler, attacks, and outs and guards in varied, realistic setups.
Dogs pass the PDC (Protection Dog Certificate), then compete at PSA 1, 2 and 3.
